ORAHS 2020

Prize in memorial of Professor Steve Gallivan

  • In 2020, of the EURO Working Group on ORAHS 2020 once again announce the prize in memorial of Professor Steve Gallivan for participants with no doctoral degree. The prize is awarded to early-career scholars for the most promising work demonstrative collaboration between research and health organisations. All posters will participate in the poster session where your research work will receive valuable feedback and ideas, as well as introduce you to a network that can be very helpful for your career.

Submission Requirements

Students interested in participating in the posters session in memorial of Professor Steve Gallivan should submit an abstract by the deadline using the ORAHS submission system. In addition:

  • The participants have to attend ORAHS 2020.
  • The participants must not have a doctoral degree.
  • Participants have to bring their poster to the posters session in memorial of Professor Steve Gallivan.
  • Oral presentation of maximum 5 minutes in the posters session in memorial of Professor Steve Gallivan. Only posters eligible for the prize are presented in this session.

Poster authors are expected to be available during this coffee break to give the opportunity to the participants to discuss with the authors of the poster and for the whole award committee to assess all the candidate posters.

Poster Preparation Guidelines

Please bring a standard A0 size poster (841 x 1189 mm), or sheets which can be assembled to the size of A0 for the display at the poster session. The poster should cover the main points of the work and be as self-explanatory as possible. Take your poster please on Monday/Tuesday morning to the registration office. You have then to assemble it yourself according to the instructions given at the registration office.

Due to the online format, a short powerpoint presentation and video has to be produced.

 

 

Selection Criteria

The prize selection committee will determine the best poster. The selection process is conducted by of a panel of 3 or 5 experts. Posters will be judged based on the criteria described below:

  • Theoretical and practical relevance.
  • Novelty.
  • Academic rigour.
  • Clarity of presentation.
